Mindfulness is a therapeutic tool for bringing our awareness into the present moment.
It is useful in reducing stress and anxiety, regulating our nervous system and bringing calmness back into our lives.
Mindfulness, like many things, takes practice. By incorporating mindfulness moments into our day, we can begin to build a daily habit which nourishes our mind, body & soul.
You can practice Mindfulness anytime, any place, it just requires us to pause and focus.
Living in the present moment, in the here and now.
Try This:
Consider focusing on a plant. This can be in out in nature, in your garden, on your terrace or in your house.
Now bring your full focus to that plant. Take your time here..Look at the leaves; the colours, the shades, the shape of the leaves, notice how they attach to the stem of the plant.
Now look to the flowers: Are there many flowers on the plant? What colours are they?
Focus on one flower; bring your awareness to the colours, the shades, the shape, the contours of the petals, look closely, what more can you see?
Spend as much time as you can simply focusing on this plant.
With daily practice this technique can empty your mind of all other thoughts, worries and concerns, giving chance for the engagement of your parasympathetic nervous system to relax you.
Stressed out? Worn out? On the road to Burnout?
Perhaps I can help you in; life management, stress reduction, lessening anxiety, a healthier work/Life balance...Drop me a line if this resonates with you..
